  Stone Church of the Brethren

Music Ministry

We cherish vibrant, diverse, meaningful music.
Worship includes everything from a pipe organ to recorders; guitar to French horn; lively music to soulful music; masterful organists and pianists and budding guitarists. We value music within Sunday worship and are active in music throughout the community. There are many ways to join the music ministry of this congregation.

Stone Church offers two levels of bell choir commitment.

The Stone Church Ringers rehearse weekly (during the school year) and play at local community events, with the Juniata College Wind Symphony and at the annual local handbell festival.

A rich variety of instrumental ensembles are part of worship music at Stone Church. The Stone Church orchestra plays almost monthly. A Taize ensemble, made up of a variety of instruments, including flute, trumpet, guitar and French horn, plays often. Other groups are often formed to use those who enjoy playing instruments.

Singers of all ages are welcome to become part of Stone Church's choir, which rehearses Thursday evenings and sings in worship (during the school months of the year).
